Thought of the Day

change (v.) to make different; alter.
alternate words for: MAKE DIFFERENT - vary, alter, transform. BECOME DIFFERENT - evolve, transform, adapt, adjust.
I this is what the defintion of change is and all its various forms than can a person not truly change. Cant a person transform themselves into someone different?
When a person changes it is the hardest thing for others to except. It is hard to think that it isnt just for show. How do you prove oneself?

Law of the Garbage Truck

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were Driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a Parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his Brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of The other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi Driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was reallyFriendly.
So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruinedYour car and sent us to the hospital!'
This is when my taxi driver Taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around Full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes They'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally.Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.. Don't take their garbage And spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take Over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,So...Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't.

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

Have a blessed, garbage-free day!
What do you do when both boys are sick and dont understand the icky bucket? Well you sit on the couch and watch cartoons. Then you get the worlds best carpet cleaner and deal with the smell.

On top of everything, you pray you have a beast of a washer machine.
The stomach bug has officially hit my house.

Things I have learned this weekend...

1. That people say take your time to a server and they really still mean, RIGHT NOW!
2. Children are human sponges. They will surprise you daily on the things they say. Things you once said. OOPS! (and I am not talking about my kids)
3. not everyone feels the same about places being open on Sundays. Most people dont actually mind that the world has turned into a society where people dont have family nights.
4. That no matter how great the service, people will tip what their budget allows. That is when the verbal tip comes in. :(
5. Times with friends should be cherished more.
6. my boys are the cutiest things ever and when they upset me I need to remember that and take a time out myself instead of getting more mad and making the situation worse.
7. I have one terrific husband.
8. you learn who your real "friends" are when they need something ( a night off perhaps)
9. Church is good for the SOUL, and you shouldnt just go to say you went
10. Playtime for kids is just never long enough
11. Grandparents are a God send

oh to be a Baptist

Four Great Religious Truths

During these serious times, people of all faiths should remember these four great religious truths:
1. Muslims do not recognize Jews as God's chosen people.
2. Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
3. Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian world.
4. Baptists do not recognize each other at Hooters.

Calling out sick to work

Another new Illness to watch out for... Anal Glaucoma

A woman calls her boss one morning and tells him that she is staying home because she is not feeling well.

"What's the matter?" he asks.

"I have a case of anal glaucoma," she says in a weak voice.

"What the hell is anal glaucoma?"

"I can't see my ass coming into work today."

* Thank you to my mother in law for this really cute email...If only that would be allowed at work. I feel that way somedays, especially nice days like today when all of us are home.*

His dad has convinced him to tell me he wants a dog.

This is him being his sweet self to Kamryn (my best friend Ambers daughter). He wanted to hold her so we made that possible.
He is just an amazing kid that makes me proud to be his mom.
And : he makes it hard to stay bad at him when you tell him to be quiet and he puts his finger up horizontally and tells you to sssh! He doesnt get the vertical up and down yet., when he runs up and gives you the biggest hug his little arms have to offer
