6 X 6 Tag

Caroline tagged me to do a 6 x 6 picture blog. So here it is.

So this was girls night out after I had, had the boys. I dont remember where we started off at but I do know this is at One Fish Two Fish. I really wanted their carrot cake dessert. (And now that I have talked to Caroline about the evening she has reminded me that it was her Birthday which is also why we were out. We went for Mexican before hand and ended up at the Fish for dessert.)

I made some comment. Not sure what it exactly was but this picture is Carol mocking me. "Oh, I cant do that anymore because I am a mom!" And she has got the hand movements I make down and everything.
All of us girls..I really do have such great friends. Thanks for the night out again ladies.
I tag: Courtney, Tara, and Whitney to take the 6th folder and the 6th picture and blog about it.

Please and Thank you

We have been teaching the boys manners lately. Most times Brian and I have to prompt them to say the right word but I suppose that is part of the learning process. However, yesterday I came home from the grocery store and the boys started "helping" me put away the groceries until they found the bananas. Then it was, "nana" "nana". So I asked them if they wanted a banana and the answer was yes. The following was the cutest chain of events.

me: how do we ask?

boys: nana peas.

me: alright here you are. go eat them in the living room with your dad.

the boys proceed into the living room where I hear, " I want a cupey?"

me: again, how do we ask?

boys: cupey peas.

me: i will be right back with some milk for you.
I go into the kitchen and get them their milk. When I brought it back to them, I was expecting to have to prompt them as usual on what to say. But Aidan shocked me. I handed him his cup and right away like he has been doing it all his life said, tank you(thank you) mommy.

It brought a tear to my eye. How cute is that!

Captured Moments

Just two brothers hanging out with each other. We were outside last week playing and they sat down together to have a juice break. Aidan was all about cheesin but Mason has his hand up on his eye like no one can see him. But to see them sitting together and just having a moment being kind to each other was picture perfect.

Not only did they have a moment with their juice but they decided to climb up on the toy chest to share some strawberries.
Brotherly love!

i let the boys type like mommy was doing..this is their thoughts.

How cute

How many times have you gone to make tunafish sandwiches to only get the juice from the can all over you or worse? Well I have found this strainer out there (which I knew was available somewhere) to help with that problem.

We especially have this problem when we open cans because we have the can opener that just takes the top off with no sharp edges so that makes it impossible to squeeze the juice out with the lid. Therefore, a mess is born. I am going to get this product and give it a try.

Too sweet for words

This is what Best Friends are for!
Helping Hands..Andrea, my mom and I took the boys to Mt. Trashmore on one of the really nice days we had last weekend. It was packed. A complete mad house. So we just walked the boys up and down the hills to wear them out. It not only wore them out but us too. I am out of shape. But I just know that this summer chasing after them it will whip me back into shape.

There were so many dogs at the park that day too and the boys were loving it. They wanted to chase, pet and play with every dog. Ever since that day they are saying they want a dog. I am like, not until you learn to go on the big boy potty. What a great incentive.

So we were walking back from being on the other side of one of the hills and Andrea was helping me out with the boys like she so often does. And I look up to see this amazing picture. It is just TOO SWEET FOR WORDS..just thinking of all she does for me and looking at this picture brings a tear to my eye.

She is one terrific BEST friend. I dont know what I ever did without her. She has definetely got me through these past 2 years with the twins. Always there to help me with errands or just get out of the house like she did on this very nice day. It is amazing that in 4 short years and 2 even shorter years since she moved here that this girl means the world to me.

Thanks Andy for always being there to lend a helping hand.

Baby Wipes

The boys are supposed to be in their room playing with their legos..well they are, kinda. The turned over the bucket and climbed up on it to reach the baby wipes on the bookshelf. I hear this ripping noise which scares me because I think it is a diaper being taken off and we all know what my kids like to do when diapers come off..I dont even want to think about it. But I go in there to find wipes all over their room. Mason had just sneezed so Aidan is wiping his nose with a wipe. How cute! I am not even mad that just wasted a bunch of wipes since we get the target brand and they are cheap. Have at it and play hard.

School

It is officially SPRING BREAK! and all I have a desire to do is study. I am terrified to get behind especially since we have a test the week we come back. And I am doing awesome in this class, well mostly well.
In lecture my grades are:
test 1: 81B
test 2: 92A
so to throw my grade really into the A's I need an A on the next test.
In lab my grades average out to right below an A. I think for working, being a mom and a wife I am doing pretty well.

Overly Long trip to the Pediatrician

As usual I waited until after the boys required check up to make an appointment for a well baby visit. I figure what is a week or two. They will be seen by the doctor and all required information will be documented so what does a few days matter.

So I was busy doing something around the house(washing dishes I think), so I had Brian call the Peds office and schedule an appointment. To my surprise they could see us this week. So we took the appointment since with our schedules who knows when it would all line up again in such a perfect way. Because I cant go to the doctors office alone. Someone, usually Brian, has to go with me to assist with the boys. Everything was good to go. Appointment schedule for 10:30 with our normal doctor.

In a shocking manner we got there 15 minutes early. And for us and our track record with the doctor we are normally right on time or a few minutes late. After all it is alot of work to get the boys and all their stuff out the door on time to go somewhere. That is why I am happy every Sunday when we make it to church on time. That was a complete side note :) So I checked us in and we procceeded to the waiting room. Where it seemed we sat for quite sometime before they called me to the window to pay and make yet another set of copies of my drivers license (which I am unsure why) and the boys insurance cards. Just asked if anything has changed since the last copies made and if not then roll with it. Or ask to see all the cards and compare them to the ones on file. Because they just made copies the last time I was there. Unless this was for my other childs file. Who knows!! All I know is that they keep getting new staff at the peds office and some of these people are not very bright. And this girl at the window was horribly slow.

Finally 25 minutes after our scheduled appointment time we get all back to the boys room. This is the only happy part I have to say...

The boys are now considered "big" boys and got weighed on a standing scale. Both boys are 25 pounds. And they get their height measured by standing with their backs to the wall and the nurse slides this thing down to their head and it lines up with numbers on the wall to give a more accurate height then drawing lines at their head and feet on the paper on the table in assessment room. They both are 33 inches and their temperatures were exactly the same. Boys are getting bigger. Amazing how time flies! Funny thing is they havent grown and inch since their 18 month visit. They are considered to be in the 10th percentile for the age.

All the good stuff aside, after they got through the logistics we waited in the room for another hour before the doctor finally came in to go over the boys chart with us and to assess them more. We find out they both had the beginnings of an ear infection (imagine that). they are definetely twins doing everything together. And Brian and I figured out they know 41 words which the doctor was very pleased to hear. But we didnt care what she was saying because they were very restless and we were tired of telling them, "no" to everything they couldnt touch and that they need to behave.

I make appointment times at certain times because it is more conducive to our schedule. Needless to say I was not a happy mommy when we left that day.

All that really matters is that they are healthy and they are. So I suppose brian and i arent doing big of a bang of job.
