So I had to work tonight..duh! No surprise there. We were expected to be super busy. Busy we were but super busy I just didnt feel it. I think though that maybe I just got sat at the right times so it didnt feel too crazy. Things were going great and then ...
THE POWER WENT OUT!
That is right. Our power at the restaurant went out for almost 30 minutes..maybe more. I had one table only order some glasses of wine but they were not happy and left. Didnt pay for their drinks either. They assumed that because it was OUR fault, which it wasnt that we, the RESTAURANT should comp their beverages. Whatever! So another table tried to stick it out and wait but just couldnt deal anymore because they were too hungry so I tabbed them out. Then the pwer came back on so they stayed.
My tables tonight were super cool, super chill..I loved my chill money making night. It sucked that I had to work but since Brian was working I might as well of been too. It just wouldnt of been the same at home or out with friends without him.
I welcome 2009 with open arms.

New Years Resolutions
I know, I know..They seem funny to do since most people stop doing them within a month or so of the new year but I am going to see these through.
1. Dont start a project I dont have time to finish
2. Start going back to church, the boys are old enough now I dont feel bad when they have to go to the preschool. The interaction with other kids will be great.
3. Love myself more. Find time to do little things for myself.
4. Be tolerant of others and their different choices.
5. Have more family time.

Potty Training - Part I
It was a couple of weeks ago but we were having problems with the boys and their potty issues. In other words my kids learned how to disrobe and play in their fecal matter. They like to smear it on anything and everything including themselves. So we thought it should be time to start potty training.
We went out and got a potty seat and a step stool. We already had a singing potty seat that someone had given us. They seemed very interested in trying to use the bathroom. But teaching twins to go to the potty is not an easy task. I felt like I was (Meredith) in the bathroom with them all the time. Every 30 minutes then sitting in there for at least 5 to make sure they didnt have to go was starting to wear on me. So I thought that Brian should try with them since he is their dad and has the same parts and they have seen him go to the bathroom. They seemed to do great with Brian.
Then Aidan got some type of bug, Brian got the flu, I got food poisoning and the holidays were just a week away. So we have stopped the training but they know when they have gone in their diaper and will let know right away. I think that is a good sign but they still dont know ahead of time that they need to go in the bathroom.
This is a long process but I am determined to get them most of the way there before their birthday in February.
